Business in a not so far land

August was a busy month, as part of the AGNTS camp loaded their car with the essentials -smoke, candy, shirts, stickers, camera and a Super Big Gulp 'cause you know you got a trip ahead of you- and took to the California highways the high way and headed north.

Smashing The Five (California Interstate five), you see spots all along the way that have something about them that you wanna shoot. Every time we stopped at a spot to grab a snack and fill up the tank, there was something right in front of us asking us to fire off some shots and capture the simplistic beauty that Mother Nature had to offer. Every now and then we would stray from the beaten path and end up in some interesting spots. We made sure to inform people about some of the native wildlife in the area and left slaps with The Bear scattered throughout the north state as we continued on our journey.
As we trekked on toward our destination we passed so many amazing spots it was insane. The problem is that it's not all about just stopping and taking photos. We wanna make sure and find future locations for photo shoots and dope stops where you all can write or see writing or just sic spots in nature. Just to jot down notes and remember all the different places we stopped and ways to get back to the remote locations we ended up in became a mission in itself. Everyone was calling out spots they liked and throwing out ideas about what we should do or shoot, it was going to take some time to nail down what spots we were really gonna use.
These spots were on point too. We couldn't help but just sit and stare at what we had in front of us. The trees dancing in the light wind, water mostly a blank glass canvas only reflecting more majestic views. We stopped and stopped and just soaked in the beauty.
Stopping became a little problematic though, as the day started to fade and the hotel was still a ways away. Pulling away from the last stop, we put the camera out the window and fired away. Needless to say we were done for the day, physically drained from the constant treasure hunt and mentally drained from all we took in and tried to give back. The sunset showed us the way.
The next morning we found our selves venturing toward the coast and riding out The One-O-One, traveling down lost roads, looking for that perfect location to shoot. We landed ourselves in some local pubs tucked in the small towns along the way, sharing drinks and stories with the locals and getting the inside knowledge about the surrounding areas.

At one of the spots we found a possible new addition to the modeling team who loved every bit of the camera. As soon as the clicking started she was down for whatever. And let's just say she killed it. Soon after, the rest of her posse wanted in on the action and gave us a few more pics to add to the collection.
After our unexpected photo shoot we finally arrived at the spot we were looking for. It's a short hike up around the bend from where we parked, but you could feel it waiting for you there and you just know it's gonna be everything you remember. We started walking toward it and the energy was intense. The bend began to give way to the view and what we remembered it as was no more; it was better. There was a mixture of old school and new school flavor, styles clashing but blending and showing the growth and maturity of the early game of these aspiring writers, character being built under abandoned structures. This is what we came for. This is what we we needed. We drew our weapons of choice and let down the heavy trigger fingers, click-click-clicking at everything.
Having spent all of what we could in our spot, we decided to pack up shop and hike the short trail back. This time we couldn't help but feel that we were leaving something behind, a piece that was still left uncovered. To be sure, we walked another less traveled path and fired off some more shots. We knew at that point we were just trying to hold on to something that the lens could never capture, something we could only bring back.

The early car ride home gave for plenty of time to reflect on our trip and we can't wait to do it all over again for you, farther and to new locations. Until that happens keep reading the blog, supporting the label and living free. And be on the look out for our new release...dropping soon.
